IGNITE Youth Ministry
Ignite Youth Ministries is the place that Jr. High and Sr. High school students call home at Grandview. There are a number of ways for students to connect with each other and with God through the variety of programs taking place. Our Youth Ministry Team members and I are passionate about encouraging and mentoring our students, to help them live out the purposes God has called all of us to.
These Purposes are to:
Honor - God deserves my whole heart...so I will live my life for Him
Reach - Lost people matter to God...so I will tell my friends about Christ
Connect - No one should stand alone...so I will experience life with other believers
Grow - God wants to be known by me...so I will spend time with Him
Serve - Everyone is uniquely gifted...So I will look for ways to make my mark
The following regularly scheduled activities help to encourage and strengthen these purposes:
IGNITE:
What better way to start off your week than with a high-energy night of games, snacks, and connecting with God and with friends. On Sunday nights our Jr. High (7th-8th grade) students meet from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and our Sr. High (9th-12th grade) students meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. from Ignite. This is a great opportunity to connect, grow, reach out to others, be known and belong.
SMALL GROUPS:
Throughout the school year, our Sr. High small groups meet Wednesday outside of the church walls from 6:45-8:00 p.m. to get the chance to connect and spur one another on in their walk with Christ, as they grow together in their faith. Our Jr. High small groups accomplish the same purpose with our Jr. High girls small group meeting Grandview on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:00 p.m., while the guys meet with Battalion on Tuesday nights at the church from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
SUNDAY SCHOOL:
If your looking for a place to dig a little deeper into God's Word, then our Jr. High and Sr. High Sunday School classes are the place to be. They meet along with the rest of the Church between our Sunday morning worship services, from 9:45-10:45. We'd love to see you there.
